My everyday life reflection #11
Since I was a little kid, I've been always taught to not showcase my opinion 100%, because "someday someone may do something to me". However, I was always wondering, why other people can actually say whatever they want without getting any consequences, while I have to stay quiet and smile artificially. I have never agreed on that and I will probably never change it. Nevertheless, I understood that my opinion is completely different taking into consideration some very controversial topics, and that is why they told me to not be open with what I think, because basically, only few people might agree with me. Rest of the group would just turn their backs and leave me. Is it actually how this should look like? In my very honest opinion, definitely no. Everyone should feel free to express his view on the world we live in without getting punished for that.
Looks like we should have a proper debate about freedom of speech.
