my everyday life reflections #13

Last Friday, me and my friend had gone to Empik. We'd gone there basically to buy presents for Christmas. However, we both went out from that shop with #sexedpl books, just because we were interested of what is inside them. After I came back home, I quickly opened the book and started reading it. After half an hour, I was in the halfway and I literally couldn't stop. The topics that Anja Rubik mentioned there were extremely close to my heart and this book opened my eyes for some things that I didn't think about much. It made me think of who I really am and who I am becoming.  I want to keep the results of my thought for myself. Nevertheless, I really recommend this book for everyone, no matter in what state of your life you are.

My everyday life reflection #12

In the last few days I was wondering, why do we all need brand new things. By that I don't mean it is something wrong when we do it in the right way. However, nowadays it is deeply embedded in our community to have a new phone or bag for instance. Some people make so much fuss around getting new things and swing from one shop to another, just to get what they want, to be cool. Media and normal people malign celebrities for not having a new Channel perfumes or Gucci t-shirt. Why the world is going in this direction? Why nowadays people who don't have branded clothes are mostly left out? The answer for me is still unknown. However, I really hope we will start looking more deeply into people's characters than on what they wear or where they have their lunches.

My everyday life reflection #11

Since I was a little kid, I've been always taught to not showcase my opinion 100%, because "someday someone may do something to me". However, I was always wondering, why other people can actually say whatever they want without getting any consequences, while I have to stay quiet and smile  artificially. I have never agreed on that and I will probably never change it. Nevertheless, I understood that my opinion is completely different taking into consideration some very controversial topics, and that is why they told me to not be open with what I think, because basically, only few people might agree with me. Rest of the group would just turn their backs and leave me. Is it actually how this should look like? In my very honest opinion, definitely no. Everyone should feel free to express his view on the world we live in without getting punished for that.
